A warm welcome to Flow Counselling

Reaching out for support takes courage, and I want to acknowledge the strength it took to arrive here.

Whether this is your first experience with counselling or you've worked with a therapist before, starting therapy can feel vulnerable and overwhelming. You may be carrying questions, uncertainty or emotions that are difficult to make sense of on your own. You don't have to navigate them alone.

Perhaps you've spent so much of your life trying to meet expectations, caring for others or striving to get everything "right" that you've lost touch with yourself.

You may find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or constantly questioning yourself. Maybe saying "no" feels uncomfortable, you carry guilt when putting yourself first or you're exhausted from trying to be everything for everyone. If any of this feels familiar, you're not alone.

The inspiration behind Flow Counselling comes from the idea of learning to move with life's changes rather than feeling defined by them.

Change is one of the few constants in life. Sometimes it arrives in ways we welcome, and other times through challenges, loss, uncertainty or life transitions that leave us feeling stuck. Along the way, life has a way of shaping us through our relationships, experiences, cultures, responsibilities, and expectations. When life isn't unfolding the way we hoped, it can be easy to lose sight of ourselves, our voice or our sense of self-worth. Sometimes we lose sight of who we are, or perhaps we never had the opportunity to truly discover ourselves in the first place.

While these experiences can be difficult, they can also become opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and meaningful change.

My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and find your voice. Together, we will work to better understand the challenges you're facing, uncover patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and self-compassion.

I provide online counselling throughout British Columbia to adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions, cultural and family expectations, identity, self-worth, anxiety, relationships, and personal growth. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling pulled in different directions, trying to meet expectations while also wanting to better understand themselves and what truly matters to them.

Wherever you find yourself today, you don't have to have everything figured out before starting. Therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and begin moving toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

Erica takes the care and time to ask questions to get to know me. She is very supportive and always made feel like we are equals. After seeing her, I no longer look at myself negatively and automatically jump to conclusions.
